Minister for Health of the Republic of Latvia
“eHealth Week will bring together all the partners involved in the health sector to analyse the most important issues of e-health and healthcare process improvement, discuss the importance of patient involvement and look for the highest quality solution for cooperation between the EU Member States”
Head of Unit Health and Wellbeing, DG Connect, European Commission
"At eHealth Week, we will host a public discussion on the next steps for mHealth in Europe to take. It's not about asking the citizens to come to digital but about digital services going to where the citizens are to help them manage their health as well as disease. mHealth has this potential, provided it is safe to use while respecting people's privacy. We invite everyone to be part of this discussion."
Taking place during the Latvian Presidency of the Council of the European Union, eHealth Week 2015 comprises of two main events: the High Level eHealth Conference organised by the Latvian Ministry of Health and the Latvian Presidency of the Council of the European Union and WoHIT (World of Health IT
Conference & Exhibition) organised by HIMSS Europe. Attracting over 2000 international delegates and 75 exhibitors, the event will welcome global decision
makers from public and private healthcare sectors, clinicians, hospital and IT managers and VIP guests.
