Summary:

The Physicians’ IT Symposium will address IT as a foundation for innovation and expansion of care with a main focus on Personal Health Records (PHRs) and patient safety.  Hear the challenges and successes of PHR implementation in a large healthcare system and a small physician practice with legal and government perspectives addressing patient safety concerns.

Attendees have the unique opportunity to observe a simulation demonstration at the Danish Institute for Medical Simulation and observe a health IT system in the IT Exploratorium including a CPOE medication system and surgery scheduling system.
