Vienna Information

What makes Vienna special is the combination of imperial flair that radiates from every corner of the city, and contemporary art, music and lifestyle. The city provides a majestic setting for the second World of Health IT ‘07 Conference & Exhibition. Grandiose Vienna was the showpiece of the all-conquering Habsburg Dynasty. Monumental edifices line the city centre, world-class museums burst with treasures, white stallions strut their way down mirrored halls, and renowned orchestras and angelic choirboys perform in lavish concert halls – an inspiration for all the healthcare IT professionals from across the EMEA region.

Vienna is both a historical gem and up-to-date international centre, a dazzling but friendly town of around 1.6 million inhabitants. World-renowned wine taverns rub shoulders with the finest restaurants – and why not enjoy a spin on the city’s world-famous Big Wheel, immortalised by Orson Welles as Harry Lime in The Third Man?

However you choose to spend your Vienna leisure time, you’re guaranteed a wonderful, relaxing stay in this city of treasures old and new.
